Why We Built This

The story behind GhostCrew

SkiffGhost Labs didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a frustration.

Our founder spent over a decade building enterprise systems — much of it at a publicly-traded multinational software consultancy, for international banks, global FMCG companies, and Fortune 500 corporations. That experience is the DNA of this company. We know exactly how complex business software can be, because we've built it from the inside. We've watched companies spend millions on ERP rollouts. We've seen training manuals thicker than phone books.

But one thing kept nagging at us:

Our founder's father runs a coffee supplies distribution company. A cousin owns a grocery store. These are real businesses, employing real people, serving real customers.

We Watched Them Struggle

Year after year, we watched businesses like theirs fight with:

  • Accounting software that required a certification to use properly
  • Inventory management systems with 200+ menu items they never touched
  • Tax filing software that made simple things impossibly complicated
  • Spreadsheets everywhere — for everything the "real" software couldn't do

They spent hours learning software that was designed for accountants, not business owners.

They hired extra staff just to handle paperwork. They stayed late doing data entry instead of being with their families.

And the people who built software for billion-dollar companies still couldn't help the businesses closest to them.

Because traditional software is just... like that. Complex by design. Made for enterprises, then "simplified" for small business. But never truly simple.

We Build Like Forward Deployed Engineers

SkiffGhost Labs is built on a single discipline: Forward Deployed Engineering. A Forward Deployed Engineer doesn't sit behind a desk shipping features for an average user. We embed directly into a company's hardest, messiest problems — on-site, side by side with their team — and build whatever it takes to make the technology actually work in the real world.

That's how we've always worked. On the ground, inside the systems, for:

  • International banks and global FMCG multinationals
  • A European metal-recycling group and fast-moving blockchain startups
  • The kind of legacy CRMs, ERPs, and scattered knowledge bases that nobody fully understands — and somehow everyone depends on

We walk in, listen, and figure out the actual business pain — not the one on the slide deck. Then we build the custom AI agents, workflows, and integrations that make it disappear. It takes a rare mix: someone who can talk to a developer at 10am and a CEO at 11am without missing a beat.

Why This Matters For Your Business

Here's the thing about AI: it's easy to make it look magical in a two-minute demo. It's brutally hard to make it work on a Tuesday afternoon when the receipt is blurry, the customer is waiting, and the data is a mess.

We've spent three years living in that gap — the huge distance between "what works in a demo" and "what works in production."

Since ChatGPT launched in early 2023, we've shipped real, in-production AI: an AI-powered pet care app, a cross-border medical coordination assistant, an AI tutor for kids, and an AI advisor for restaurants.

Every one taught us the same lesson: the demo is the easy 10%. The other 90% is the real work — and it's the only part that matters to the people using it.

We built million-dollar AI for billion-dollar companies. Then we looked at the small businesses closest to us and asked one question:

"Why can't they have the same thing — without the million-dollar price tag or the 300-page manual?"

That's GhostCrew. The same production-grade AI we deploy inside large enterprises, rebuilt from the ground up so a busy owner can simply talk to it like a human.

  • Snap a photo of a receipt → It's recorded and categorized
  • Say "How much did I spend on supplies this month?" → Instant answer
  • Ask "Create 10 social posts for this product" → Done in 30 seconds

Our First Customers

A coffee distributor and a grocery store were our first users — the same family businesses that started it all.

The distributor now spends 3 hours less every day on bookkeeping — and takes Sundays off for the first time in 15 years.

The grocery store eliminated one part-time position and still runs smoother operations than before. The savings went into renovating the shop.

They're not just satisfied — they can't imagine going back.

Now It's Your Turn

We built GhostCrew for the businesses closest to us first. Now we want to give it to every small business owner who deserves:

  • More time — to be with family, to think strategically, to rest
  • More money — saved from unnecessary hires and wasted hours
  • More peace of mind — knowing the business runs even when you're not watching
  • More growth — the freedom to expand, serve more customers, dream bigger

Our Promise

We will never:

  • Sell your data
  • Lock you into annual contracts
  • Make AI decisions without your approval
  • Charge enterprise prices for SMB problems

If GhostCrew doesn't save you at least 2x what you pay us within 90 days, we'll refund every penny. No questions asked.

Because we built this for our own families first. And now we consider every customer part of that family.

Here's to getting your time back,

— The team at SkiffGhost Labs
